Meet Emma. Emma has been with Form since we opened in January. We asked her about her goals how she manages to come to Form as much as she does and what affect it had on her life.
How were you introduced to Crossfit?
I used to go to group PT before moving to Leeds and struggled to find anything similar in the city centre. Originally went for a trial class when Form was Crossfit West Yorkshire in Armley and really enjoyed it but didn't join because of location. I joined when Form opened at the new location just behind Bridgewater Place and have been hooked since 😜
What keeps you coming back to Form?
This is a difficult one to answer. Can I just say everything? Haha. Challenging, fun, varied workouts. Fantastic coaches who know their stuff and make sure to dedicate time to every single person in a session. An awesome bunch of people to train with, whatever session you decide to go along to. I also really enjoy having the opportunity to try things you wouldn't necessarily get to do in a standard gym, for example gymnastics. Good coffee too.
What do you do for work and how do you manage the gym around your work and social life?
I pretty much sit down for 8 hours a day staring at a computer screen/dealing with customers so Crossfit is my escape! It's also helping me get to the necessary fitness standards for my potential career change..... I make sure I get to the early morning sessions so that work/social life don't get in the way 🙂. That's the beauty of having a wide range of choice of class times.
Thinking about what we can say about Emma is simple.
Your focus on your goals is inspiring to others and there isn't a day when you're here that you don't add a smile to someone's face! Here's to hoping that your career change doesn't mean our loss.....
